CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831, which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The institution began as Christ College in 1969 and grew gradually in numbers and infrastructure. It gained a reputation for its outstanding academic achievements. In 2004, The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conferred Autonomy to the college and was identified as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in 2006. It was declared an institution deemed to be a university by the Ministry of Education on 22 July 2008. The Christ Institute of Management (CIM) campus was inaugurated at Lavasa on Sunday, July 20th 2014. CIM was established by the Christ University Trust, which is the promoter of Christ University, Bangalore. The off-site campus offers a number of UG, PG, and doctoral-level programmes in the field of Commerce, Law, Data Science, and Management. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and highly qualified faculties, the Analytical Hub aims to help students achieve academic excellence through a diverse range of teaching methodology, modern curriculum, and innovative research practices. CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus promotes a culture that embodies the philosophy of ‘Excellence and Service’. It is designed to promote holistic education and hone individual talents to encourage all-around development of the students.

ABOUT: XUBRENZ 2025
'XUBRENZ' is a national-level fest conducted annually by the School of Business and Management students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune, Lavasa. Colleges all over India are invited to participate in the events held under this fest. Spread across three days, this event has become offline after a successful advancement of two years on the online platform. This year we are bringing Xubrenz with an intention to tap the untapped portion of our country. Hence, introducing A Locavore's Quest: A locavore utilizes only local and sustainable resources, rather than foreign resources. It best describes a business that hunts for local resources, ideas, and talent. The event is themed on national policies such as ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India.’ After a two-day online affair, the top 5 finalists of each event will be invited to the beautiful valley of Lavasa for the Finale which will be an experience worth the trip.
